anyway, anyways
Anyway should be spelled as one word when it is used to mean "in any event," "no matter what": "Whether or not the storm is bad, we plan to leave at noon anyway." In all other possible meanings, write the expression as two words: "You cannot in any way be blamed for the accident." Anyways is a nonstandard form of anyway, used only by illiterate or uneducated persons. As two words, the expression may be used correctly: "I can't think of any ways in which we could have acted differently."
